Government emergency alerts - quick question

Hi there

 

If we turn off emergency alerts in an iPhone will it stop the alert test showing on the phone in April or will it still happen no matter what?

It should stop them if the setting is off, but worth noting that as they are tests, not everyone will get them anyway.
