Has anyone actually had any luck with this?
I recently bought a Galaxy S6 Edge and I am over the 14 day period. I tried live chat for help, but they seemed adamant that I had already received a text from O2 and that my code would be there on my priority app. No text, and no code in my app. Instead they redirected me to a google play help search with topics such as "How to redeem" and such. I know how to redeem the code, I just don't have one!

Hi , just recieved a text from o2 with a link to o2 priority to claim £50 google play credit , so googled it to check it was a legit text.
I had bought my mobile deal with mobiles.co.uk , no mention of the free google credit offer so was a nice surpirse. got my handsent about 2 week ago , so about 2 week for this text to arrive to claim the credit 🙂

Well I didn't have to phone in the end. Received my code today after 26 days, so all is good now! Hope the rest of you get yours.
