If O2 promise to take £30 off your next bill payment because of a delay in delivering your device as a goodwill gesture but you find a better deal on another network, if you paid up your device plan and got a PAC and left, would they have to honour their goodwill gesture or would you lose it? Said goodwill would be applied to a bill on 23/05/2020. I would be happy to wait but just wondered. The deal I have seen with the other network finishes on 05/05/2020.

You would get a refund for any credit on the account @XanderC90
Once the account is closed call them to ask for it to be transferred to your account.

In that case you need to call them about crediting your account, normally it would show on the next bill after the promise
call them but you may need to go back to the complaints team

Ok, thanks @jonsie
I have a bill date of 24/04/2020 which is due for payment on 08/05/2020 so it might appear after this has been paid then. In that case I need to wait until that bill has been paid. The offer with the other network will have finished by then but I may be able to see what else O2 has to offer. Who knows?
