Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone could answer my question please. Is it possible to have a 5g signal on my phone using a o2 sim but when you use the coverage checker on the o2 website is tells me theres no 5g coverage in my area yet. Its a bit confusing so any info would be appreciated.

In simple terms @bezman70 , yes.

I questioned this the other day as I saw 5G near me but the coverage checker doesn't reflect that.

There was a reply from o2 as well confirming why:

5g is currently being rolled out and will undergo a testing phase first before it is announced, so most likely your mast has been updated and being tested before it goes fully live.
