In answer to the original post, if you mean does O2 have satnav app like Orange and Vodaphone then the answer is No.
You only use what is supplied on the phone e.g Google maps, Ovi maps or a paid service like Wisepilot, CoPilot, Navmii, Ndrive, Amaze or Sygic.

The OP said she couldn't get a signal so it's fair to assume there is a GPS program on the phone, which could be faulty or she hasn't waited long enough for the satellites to be picked up.
As she hasn't been back we may never know what is going on.
