Friends and family discount

Hi,

Is it possible to get this on the iphone 5s and 5c?

 I was on the phone to o2 today and they have stated that NO p2 open discount are allowed to be used on Iphone 5s and 5c. Now I thought this only applied to the o2 open discount. Is family and friends discount allowed?

Is o2 open and family and friends the same thing?

Now if this is the case im going to be paying a lot more for this phone than I should be and I am really thinking about not doing it staying on my 4s simplicity.

Can anyone shed any light?

F&F and Open Code are two different schemes.
Open Code cannot currently be used against the new iPhone, but most likely will be after the fuss of launch has worn off. It states in the T&C's that it cannot be used.
There is nothing to suggest that F&F can't be used in the T&C's for that phone though si on the face of it you should be OK.
However, it's always worth getting an opinion from CS.
