My tariff that I signed up to on the 3rd December included free a free Apple Music trial. I did not receive an activation code. I called o2 customer service on 17th December and they said it had been escalated and it would be received within 48 hours - I didn't receive anything. I called again on the 21st December and they said it had been escalated and it would be received within 48 hours - again I didn't receive anything.

What else can I try?

Anyone can get 6 months free.

New Apple Music subscribers get six months free with an eligible audio device. Make sure your iPhone or iPad is running the latest iOS or iPadOS. Then, you can activate your Apple Music trial after you pair your audio device to your iPhone or iPad. Or visit support.apple.com for more information.

More info from O2 here Apple Services | Up to 6 months free | O2

Apple music isn't an extra, only Amazon music.

Afraid not. I've got the extra that was included. Just not Apple Music which was separate. O2 have confirmed I should also have it but been unable to send me the text with the link to activate it

What I mean is that it isn't part of the O2 extras.

It's an Apple offer that is available to everyone who buys a qualifying device.

The O2 offer requires that you receive a code via text to redeem so you'll need to keep chasing O2 to receive that.

You need to contact O2.

It's sim only, so no new device was bought. I'll spend another hour on the phone tomorrow and have another go I guess 🙄

After 30 minutes on the phone they have given me £10 credit while they try to sort within 10 working days. After that I’ll cancel due to breach of contract.

Took another three months and two complaints but finally got sent the code. Recommend going straight to a complaint as they resolved it then. Customer service were no help - and even refused to raise a complaint for about 20 minutes on the phone when requested.
