Has anyone been receiving calls from a number 222 300 375 registered in Mauritania South Africa. I have googled this and it’s a scam number they ring and hang up but loads of people are saying this is enough to get money from you even if you don’t answer or call back. Is this true has anyone experienced this thanks in advance.

Ive not had a problem with this number but they can't charge your account if the phone isn't answered or you don't call them back. Just block the number.

It will be people calling back to see who the missed call was that are getting charged.
You cannot be charged for receiving calls in your home country.
