Finishing Contract

Anonymous
Not applicable

Within the past month my contract ended and because I did not give 30 days notice I still have one month to pay for (which is not a problem) but I was wondering if this would definitely be the last payment I'd have to make?

As on the letter it says "we've stopped you making any more calls or sending texts" as if I still have a contract with them?

It's just confused me a bit and I don't want to recieve another letter next month saying I haven't paid again.

Thanks

As long as you have given 30 days notice your contract will end. You will receive a final bill and once that is paid you should receive a zero bill. In the meantime check on My O2 for any due amount as any late payments will leave a mark on your credit file.

That's a bit strange.... If you don't cancel your contract it reverts to a rolling 30 day deal and you just pay month to month. The only time you would get cut off is if you didn't pay the bill.....? Call CS to give notice now and depending on your billing date you may get another bill, but if you don't use the phone any unused credit will be refunded to you.

I gave them notice but it was a few days late but they accepted it as a 30 days notice and that I'd have one final payment due to this. Also when i sign into my o2 is says "no number found for this account". I think that means the contracts ended yes?

Yes, as they say you will receive one final bill so you should have nothing to worry about.

Just phoned them up and spoke to someone.

He said that I don't need to pay for this bill yet as the contract has been ended but I will need to phone up on the 4th of December and a final bill will be generated and it should be a bit cheaper than this bill I have now (£25.something)

Very confusing o2 are!

Standard practice as there could be late adjustments to the bill.

You might even have a refund.
