Hi all

I clicked on an advert (was looking for rugby score) ...did NOT sign up to anything and the next thing I knew I was getting a text thanking me for subbing to global cams for 4.50 a week

I was reluctant to click the ' stop text' in case that was a scam too.m but I did send the stop text'

I spoke to O2 live chat who said I have no charges on my account, but I'm sure there is a delay before they show?

Have I just set myself up for a huge phone bill ? And if so how can I stop it?

And yup I'm feeling pretty dumb for. clicking

Thanks

After reading up on this...I do think this should be better regulated by the way, it seems some have been scammed for hundreds

@trw1972 Yes it should be more regulated, but this is something for OFCOM to look into, as it affects people on all networks, but believe it or not, some people willingly sign up for these types of services, so it makes it difficult for the regulators.

You can request that O2 put a bar on premium rate numbers from your account to prevent this happening again. That's about as much as you can do for now.

Definitely a reason to get premium rate bars added to your account by customer services?

Yup the 4.50 went through tonight. O2 have barred charge to mobile now .. they have given me the details to request a refund, but to be honest I'm not sure it is worth the effort

I will complain to the PSA though as enough complaints might cause them to act
