You would not believe the hassle.
I have finally managed to get through to a CS guy called Imran who knows what he is doing and has put me on the tariff I originally wanted
It's called O2 Basic. 15p a min and 5p a text. Means I can keep my old
I only need that because I've got a Moto G dual sim and a great tariff from Tesco in Sim 1. On the 2nd Sim card I can keep my old number in case anyone still has that.
Job sorted and it only took FIVE calls to CS; a visit to an O2 shop and a lot of my time.

Glad you're sorted, at last slight_smile
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I have a query which wasn't explained very well on live chat.

I am on an old PAYG tariff, where I top up with £10 using my eCard, every 30 days just before the anniversary of   oringinally activating the account.

This gives me 300 texts/500MB data and each month the amount builds up unless I make some phone calls (now all at 25p/min - not reducing), thus using up often quite some very high balance amounts.

I see that there are Big Bundles offered which give more texts and some call minutes but if I should select one of these, I presume I can still keep my phone number and use my existing top-up eCard? Also when would my current tariff end/new BBundle start? Am I given a new nano SIM etc.? Is it best to do this in an O2 shop?

It would be a smooth changeover, no need for a new simcard but your credit will be taken each month for your allowances.

Thanks but how do you mean 'taken'? I only pay, currently, by offering my top up card, say at the local PO or by paying at any ATM, together with the appropriate amount. Does the same e-topup card work for the new tariff?

The same card will work, it's for the mobile number not the tariff.

On some tariffs you get allowances and retain the credit. On Big Bundles O2 use your credit to pay for the allowances. So you top up £10, the £10 gets 'taken' by O2 and your allowances renew.

Always happy to help slight_smile

Just to add that you can change tariff once a month. However, if you are on an older tariff such as text and web, they are no longer available and you couldn't change back.
