Hi guys. I've been with O2 since 2003 and never experienced any major problems.
In early January 2021, I upgraded my sim only contract from 100Gb/£20 a month to 100Gb/£20 a month but with the first 6 months @ £10.
Pre upgrade, I was using on average, 10Gb a week, that was around 2-3 hours total on You Tube and Prime video per day. Phone shows very little data usage for Android apps, it's the tethering that's yomping the data!
Since upgrading, according to the O2 app, I've used 33Gb in two days!! I'm watching the same things via tethering (You Tube and Prime), so my actual viewing patterns haven't changed.
Short of trying to explain this to O2, I'm at a loss and really concerned.
Any thoughts/ideas would be appreciated.
I've just upgraded to the same plan but haven't noticed any increase.
Are your video settings still the same or are you now streaming in HD maybe?
Has another tethered device done a large update at all?
