Europe holiday but need to call my partner in Canada

I purchased a international bolt on for making calls from UK to Canada. 

I am now going on holiday to the Canary Islands and wanted to check if that bolt will still work or will the charges be different to call from Canary Islands to Canada?

The bolt on only works from the UK so you will be charged standard rates to call Canada O2 International 

You can use Skype, whatsapp or other voip apps to make cheaper or free calls depending on which app you use.
