I am currently in south America until august and my las 'pay monthly contract' bill is in May. I was wondering, when it ends, whether I automatically start a new 24 month contract or do I start a rolling contract pay as you go or what?

I can't call O2 because it's 7 quid a minute and online chat never seems to work. Thaaanks

Hi @Tomos If you don't cancel your contract via the official route it will continue to roll on month by month

You can contact customer services to cancel. It's free from abroad https://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

There is also live chat you can use if you wish to cancel or just let it roll onto a monthly contract until you return home.
If you are on refresh the device payments will stop automatically and you would just need to pay the reduced airtime costs.
Live chat here http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus
How refresh works here https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Pay-Monthly-Pay-and-Go/How-does-O2-Refresh-work/ba-p/1014093
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
