Why are o2 trying to charge me the same amount that I currently pay per month for my phone plus data ect when my contract ends?
My phone will be paid for, so surely I should just be paying sim only charges.
They think I should pay £20.82 for 3gb, plus unlimited calls and texts when I can get the same package for £6 on uswitch!
On o2's own site I can get 150gb for £20...

The only thing that changes is your refresh payments stop, and you pay the airtime you agreed to at the start unless you change it, which can be done via myo2 and the upgrade option. o2 don't do this for you.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this

I don't need anyone to access my account.
I was just wondering how o2 have the front to try to charge such a large amount for a sim only deal.

It isn't a sim only deal though.
It's an in contract tariff which are always rubbish compared to the actual sim only deals.
In order to change, you must upgrade to a sim only contract through your MyO2

As @MI5 says @ray1966 you will be paying the deal you signed up for - however long ago that was - which will now be poor value compared to new deals.
This is also dependant on who you took the deal with.
Only if you signed up with o2 directly will the amount go down once the phone plan is paid off.
If you used a 3rd party the bill amount will stay the same - even more incentive to upgrade to a new sim only deal!
