recently changed mobile from an iPhone where sending messages via iMessage to another iPhone did not charge to a Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

Is there a charge for sending these via text?

@conor2209 the key factor is the character count. Below 480 characters and you won't be charged, over that and you will be.

But bear in mind characters include spaces and the first emoticon of emoji counts around 100 characters.
