I called 202 as I wanted to cancel my contract and transfer my number to PAYG. I had already paid off the device/ contract and at the moment it is just a rolling airtime plan (overpriced at that) so I thought it's time to move it to PAYG as it suits my needs better.

In the space of 20 minutes, I was passed around to 4 people, the first 2 seemed like they wanted to help but then needed to pass me off to a different department and the other 2 just wanted to pass me off straight away. 

I was then put on hold for 10 mins before the call was ended (from their end).

Absolute predatory service where they make it as difficult as possible for you to leave a contract (That I am eligible to leave) and move to PAYG. To make it worse, I wanted to stay with O2 for my PAYG! 
Now I'm 2nd guessing. It should be illegal for companies to make it so difficult.

If the O2 network is good for you just get a PAC and move to Giffgaff
