I am not happy with the service from 02 and decided to leave early, I pay £21.31 per month and have got 6 months left, when I called customer service the person told me when I cancel the contract the discount is taken off and the full monthly cost is applied to the account, so it works out what should be 6 x 21.31 =£127.86 is now £170.23 how is this fair.

It's not fair but the reason is because the discount is a bolt on. Your actual tariff is the higher charge per month.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
