Early settlement

Further to an earlier query I posted in relation to an early settlement of my device portion of my contract, if I do this and choose a different device does this mean my original contract ends and a new one begins

thanks in advance

Once you have paid off the outstanding balance then you can choose either:
1 - buy a new device and stay on your current tariff
2 - keep the same device and move to a sim only tariff
3 - get a new device and new tariff on either refresh or standard contract

Yes, as long as you choose to upgrade you will only have one contract running.
The problems arise if you don't upgrade and take a new contract, which will result in you have 2 contracts running.
