I upgraded my phone early, and was expecting the remaining amount to go out when my next bill came in, this didn't happen. But also my bill for my new phone is a lot lower than expected, I don't want to get an unexpected bill for a load of money, can anyone help me figure out what is going on?

@Iafct

Is your new contract more expensive than the old one?

If it's cheaper, then the figure may well be correct. However, we have no access to your account here so you need to call O2.

Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

@Iafct

It depends when the bill was due re your upgrade. If you upgraded near to the billing date then the old amount would have been taken.

You should see a change on your next bill.

However if you want to double check then contact O2 on any number in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Best time to call is 8am.

I had a bill go out on the 19th, which was the date my bill for my old phone went out on for £26 and then another bill for £6, on my 02 app it says my next bill will be £6 again. I'm wondering if there's been a glitch on somewhere, thank you for replying, I think might be best if I phone up to sort this out.

It's more expensive, it should have been £38 I think, my old bill was £34 a month. Thank you for your assistance, I'll ring up tomorrow and hopefully get this sorted.
