This catches lots of people out as they now think they have EU roaming no matter where in the EU.
Including calls are
UK to UK
EU to EU and UK.
EU made a directive for when roaming out side you home country, not for when your in your home country, this is controlled by Ofcom and local networks.
As others have said the charges are correct

I have travelled to France and purchased a 50GB Orange Travel pack eSIM for €49.99
My download speed is consistently >100Mbps
By comparison my UK EE mobile wifi and O2 dribble along between 3Mbps and 9Mbps
Maybe they do similar for Spain?
