I bought O2 phone 13th November, From O2 (Fort/Kinnaird Retail Park, EH15 3RD) Brought it home to the EH35 5JY area, and I will admit, it got no signal strength on the signal bar, but other side was saying 2G,
This pass week, every time I have been home and take mobile out my jacket pocket and checked it for how charge is, I have been getting NO SIGNAL, and where it normally display O2 UK I get EMERGENCY,
I have preformed all the normal things you are told, switch off the phone, leave it likes 10 seconds, then turn it on/reboot it.
I have tried not only taking the sim card out and and whipping it with bit tissue, but taken it out the ALCATEL ONE TOUCH which I bought at time of going with O2 on PAUG but havbe tried the sim card in Nokia 113, and it like wise, gets SOS CALLS ONLY (TRIED THIS TO CHECK IF IT WAS THE PHONE AT FAULT WHICH IT APPEAR NOT TO BE)
I would not mind, but if I got outside the Ormiston area, into Pencaitland, Tranent, Dalkeith, or feather a field, its working fine!!!!!
Has anyone else in the Ormiston, East Lothian, area noticed this ?????

It would be worth downloading the my network app to try it on there and also report the fault.

I would but as I am, not a massive user of mobile, I have kept it to basic phone) K.I.S.S. = KEEP IT SIMPLE STUPID,
After all I got computers in house to access the web and tablet that i don't use, as i personnally don't like googgle, and stay away from anything operating on it, and infact i have blocked googgle from accessing my home network.

Hi There,
It would been nice if the website, had given some idea as to the mast/s/transmitters that are going to be getting looked at,
(AS OF THE SITE)
Our network is currently working fine
We'll be carrying out some maintenance on our phone masts in this area on the 14 December.
Updated 10:00 (refreshed hourly). Recent faults might not show yet."
As when you adjust the zoom on the map, the nearest mast, to Ormiston, is approx. 2 miles away, on the roof of Glenkinchie Distillery at west end of Pencaitland
as the mast at the top of the of the B6371, is the E.E. mast /transmitter, which has replaced the two indepent operators masts/transmitters, T-Mobile and Orange, as there was originally two masts there, till then merged approx 2010, , I used to be on Orange, but since they switched to EE and EE changed the tariffs (CANAARY, DOLPHIN, RACOON, MONKEY ) which are on par to O2 Simply Pay As you Go Tarrif, EE has changed it to where Pay As You Go Customers Have to Buy There Tariff every month, which is why I left, as when on Orange, I only used to top my phone with say $10 every quarter, knowing my first m,onth got 100 free text soi many minutes and downloads,
switched to O" after some experience off other mobile users in this area, and checking online, and found only two networks cover Ormiston, EE and O2 (AS PREVIOUS NEIGHBOUR HAD O2)
stupid this is, with O", If I leave mobile sitting in middle hall floor, it get 2 bar signal on 2G but if I piuck it up and for safety sack, sit it on windows cill, its flickering between Emergency asnd O2-UK but no signal on signal meter, even though I have it on the cill at the O2 side the house, (SOUTH FACING, LOOKING UP HILL TO EE MAST LOCATION).
Yet like this morning, the phone recieved the O2 alert telling me me O2 taiff alllowance is expiring but when I try to call out, I can't get nothing, which is why I sometime have to use the House lines BT8500 Phone to send text messages (as my houseline does send and recieve text, and infact the BT8500 is setup to text my mobile to messages left on is answering service, with have to go trough BT call screening service first "true Caller"
