"From April 2024 the monthly price of your device plan (that's your device, inclusive texts and data"
I've been with O2 for years, but I cannot recall if the device plans ever increased to be honest. I'm hoping they don't because an annual increase of a physical product that O2 owned at the point of sale to increase in price of 8% (this year) every year seems a bit.. unfair?

Depends on the package you are on.
If you got it from O2 direct it is liable to be a refresh tarif where the device is separate, so only the airtime increases.
If bought from elsewhere then the liklihood is it is a standard tariff and both will increase.

Ahh great, thanks for the replies. That was the most logical, but you never know these days.
It's direct through O2 on one of the plus tariffs.
It just confused me, because I'm aware that I have two separate bills but then you see this.

In my head there's always a "device" and "airtime" plan.

Another example of poor wording on the website.
@Dave-O2 can this be corrected to avoid confusion?

Thanks for the flag @MI5
This has been sent across to the relevant team.
As others have said @benfphillips your Device Plan won’t be included in the price increase 👍

A standard tariff is a single bundled price (eg from affordablemobiles or mobilephonesdirect, etc), there is no separation of device from airtime - and yes, the increase is the percentage of the total tariff cost - so a monthly bill of £23.50 will rise by £2.06 to £25.56 monthly:
It is a bit misleading on the O2 website, but the Calculator makes all clear: https://www.o2.co.uk/prices
