Hi I’ve upgraded to a IPhone XR with a sim deal but I already have a sim only deal will that now end and I’ll just have the new upgrade deal or do I still have the sim only contract too? And also I didn’t say I needed a new SIM card because I thought I’d use my sim only SIM card as it would just be transferred over if I do need a new SIM card how do I now go about ordering it?

If you upgraded @Tory21080 then it will end the sim only deal and you will have a new deal with the new phone.
Having just upgraded myself, there was a new sim delivered with the phone so you will probably get one too. You are right that your new tariff is on your current/old sim, so you can carry on using that unless you want/need to swap to the new one.

@Tory21080

The new sim will be 5G capable. So if your phone is 5G capable and you live in an area with 5G then do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

If not, then as @gmarkj  said, just use your old sim.

@Tory21080

As the XR isn't 5g capable, just use your old sim in the XR when it arrives.

No need to mess about with anything then.
