Hi,

I'm having trouble sending mms from Durham City Centre almost every weekend now yet text/webpages are loading fine.

I can send a picture via whatsapp with a strong H signal.

I can browse various websites fine.

I can send a text fine.

I just cannot send an mss.

I've text ACTIVE to 2020 to ensure I have the correct apn settings.

What's going on?

Hi

It may be worth contacting O2 Customer Services. 202 for Contract. 4445 for PAYG to have your account provisioned for MMS.

Check your APN settings again via http://www.geeksquad.co.uk/articles/o2-apn-settings

MMS do cost 40p each so as a tip I'd stick to what your using or email or WhatsApp or Viber if the other parties have the latter two downloaded too.

Can you send them everywhere else ok?

I only really send ms from home or work. I work in Durham and I've tried it indoors/outdoors with little difference.

At home I get 4G and it is fine.

Hi

May be fringe coverage affecting the sending of MMS then.

True. The pic wasn't even that large. I would send via whatsapp but not everyone uses it 😞

What about e mail.

You can send larger files that way too.

MMS only needs 2g so try dropping your network selection down to 2g only if you can to send an MMS.

I've had no look regardless of network type. Just tried sending a picture on a strong 4G signal too.
