By using my French SFR (vodafone) sim card.
Cheap EU rates too which are cheaper than any PAYG in the UK.

@MI5

Do they provide numbers of two countries on a single SIM?

No, just one french number.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Dual sim phones are the future. It's cheaper to use a French sim here for roaming with better overall coverage switching between the networks. My O2 sim here in Thailand is never without a signal but the cost of using data when roaming is highway robbery at £6/MB. Obviously I use my Thai sim for which I pay £9/month for 8GB and just tether off that.

@evantkh Given the number of posts that you have raised where O2 is causing you issues either with coverage or loading a game, I strongly recommend you change networks as it is clear O2 is not the network for you.

You cannot compare O2 in the UK to any network overseas, as other users have mentioned before the infrastructure, geographical topography, materials used in construction, etc are all different in many parts of the world. Some spend more money than others, some spend less, its a small aspect called business.

If I just switch networks, I will simply get other blackspots. UK should be able to have that kind of coverage like overseas because it is just for outdoor and also summing up all coverage of different providers will give good coverage so some suggest using a SIM from another EU country to do roaming in UK and switch between networks and I am looking at the feasibility in my use case.
