Does anyone find bad signal on any National Rail train service even though for city lines?

I believe being in a big metal tube (train, bus) with plenty machinery around doesn't help as it disrupts signals.

It certainly won't help.

Actually it is not in that way you think if you have been to other countries.

In Hong Kong, I never get signal issue when traveling along roads, except little rural area.

In Japan, I never fall back to 3G when travelling on some rural highways.

In China, in some provinces near Shanghai, I never get signal issue when on roads.

@evantkh .......we seem to have to keep reminding you that you are now in the UK....all the problems that you have posted you relate back to countries in Asia.

America is different again, South America is different, Australia is different, even countries within Europe are different so it's not sensible.....no, it's not possible to compare different countries.

@Beenherebefore

Performance in other countries is a small problem, given that people don't need stable connectivity on transport. To actually give a fair comparison, I should compare it with Osaka and Shenzhen, not somewhere rural.

Exaggerated coverage is a big problem. The more interesting thing is summing up all coverage of different operators will eventually give a full coverage in city, but national roaming is no longer available today.

By using my French SFR (vodafone) sim card.
Cheap EU rates too which are cheaper than any PAYG in the UK.

It seems that you are using international roaming that allows you to roam on different networks in UK instead of a domestic SIM with national roaming feature.
