Do you get another credit check to upgrade on Refresh?

Pretty much as the title says! I want to upgrade early, from an iPhone 5c to an iPhone 6 Plus. Once I pay off my current balance, will I be credit checked? I'm concerned about paying it off then being declined. Don't want to pay out all that money for nothing if I can't actually upgrade. Tried calling O2 to ask but can't get through. Thanks.

No credit checks if you upgrade. Only for new contracts.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
