Do I have to upgrade to O2 refresh?

Have O2 got rid of normal monthly tariffs? I can now upgrade my contract but all I can see are O2 refresh tariffs..

Yes, if you upgrade directly with o2 that is all they offer. If you want the normal contract you can upgrade with carphonewarehouse,

Hi @Anonymous and welcome to the Community.

If you purchase directly from o2 then yes it is only refresh although to be honest I'm principle they work out the same as conventional contracts except the way you are billed looks different. The overall cost is broadly the same and you have the option to pay off your phone contract early. At the end of 24 months your contract price drops to the airtime tariff only saving you money.

If however you prefer the old style contracts then you can upgrade at Carphone Warehouse via o2
