Disputed bill

Anonymous
Not applicable

have received several emails and texts from O2 recently advising that I have spend well over my normal / typical monthly amounts.

Firstly I was advised that my bill had risen to £91.77 and more recently £113.66.

Yesterday, about mid day, I phoned O2 and spoke to one of your operatives who was very helpful and advised that O2 would investigate and return my call. I have not yet received a call.

I have checked my typical bills for this year:

9 Jan 2017 - £9.63
8 Feb 2017 - £10.12
13 March 2017 - £9.62
10 April 2017 - £10.62
9 May 2017 - £10.38
8 June 2017 - £16.02
10 July 2017 - 69.82

My mobile phone usage has not changed over the months and my existing phone is an old Nokia - not even a smart phone so I do not use it for anything other than occassional phone cals and texts.

Clearly something is very wrong with the current records.

Can you also confirm when my existing contract ends.

I look forward to you reply ASAP.

Hi @Anonymous This isn't customer services, it's a community forum. No one from O2 will see your post here I'm afraid. If you are disputing your bill you need to contact customer services http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus   and discuss it with them. I would advise that you call rather than use live chat.

You can check your contract end date by looking in My O2 http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

Someone else using your phone?

Possibly mms or out of allowance calls but I suspect too someone else has access to your phone or you are receiving premium text messages.

Good afternoon @Anonymous! Sorry to hear you're experiencing unexpected charges on your bill! 😞 Did you manage to find out e.g. by checking your bill/charges details in My O2 what it was that was causing it, as advised above? Please do let us know how you're getting on with it.

Thanks guys for your helpful suggestions! @adamtemp64@MI5@jonsie, @Anonymous
