Disable balance notifications

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a new phone and every time I send a text I keep getting a notification telling me to text balance to 20202 etc etc.  It's driving me mad!  Does anyone know how to disable these notifications?

Call customer service on 4445 and ask them to turn off balance notifications.

Hiya, I've got the same issue as OP.
I've contacted CS on 4445 and was told it's not possible to turn these off, can anyone confirm that it's no longer possible?

Thanks.

Speak to them again. It is still possible so hopefully next time you get through to someone who knows what they are talking about.

Balance notifications most certainly can be turned off.
What can’t be are the recorded announcements at the start of your calls stating “this is a free call” etc.

OK, thanks for the info jonsie and MI5!

I'll give them another ring a bit later on, would be a bit awkward if I got connected to the same person again. =]

Not much chance of that. If they listened to your previous call I would imagine the adviser has gone for further training....

Right, I've contacted customer services again and there were no issues this time, I've had the notifications disabled.

Thanks again for the help. slight_smile
