Direct Debit bill, not taken?!

Anonymous

My bill is due to come out today via direct debit however it hasn't been taken? I have the correct money in my bank account so I'm somewhat confused. Is it because it's Christmas time and it's all slowed down, or? Always had the idea that a direct debit would come out whatever the date is automatically... don't fancy being fined, or getting a bad score on my record for something that isn't technically my fault.

Direct Debits are only collected on weekdays. So if your DD was due to be collected today, being a Sunday, it will be collected tomorrow.

This is the same for every UK company collecting payments by direct debit.

No need to call 202. A DD is taken the first working  date after the due date.

There was nowhere to say the thread has been requested to be split so I responded to them both.

Apologies however my crystal ball has been sent to o2 repairs for a service 😆😆😆😆
