Hi. I've recently joined O2 and got an iPhone 7.

I'm just wondering if I were to pay off my device plan in full, would this mean I need to upgrade or can I keep my current airtime plan?

You can do either but as you don't want to upgrade you can just continue paying the airtime, so effectively a sim only tariff.
