I've applied for a contract phone with 02 and told to pay a deposit of £275 If I pay the deposit will I be accepted for the contract phone or can it still be rejected just I don't have that kind of money to pay a deposit If I'm not going to receive then phone and have to wait for a refund, many thanks in advance

In theory yes, you should be accepted but as nothing is guaranteed, 

you should contact the sales team as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255
