Deleted old text messages sent and received

I have Deleted old texts on my phone but now need to see them again is there a way I can do this? Also is there a means to see what text were sent to me and when?

Once deleted they are fragmented and gone.

Depends if you have an iPhone or Samsung & backed it up to iTunes or kies then you won't get them back
