Degraded signal for months

Anonymous

Hello!

Recently my auntie is unable to get a decent signal at her home address. Throughout most of the house she receives no signal at all, whilst leaving the phone in a window will gain 1 bar of signal intermittently. This is however no good for making a phone call, using data and texts often come through to her phone hours after the sender have sent them.

She has been with O2 for many years (10+) and has always received a signal in the area without a problem. The O2 status checker has been showing this for months.

This is a really poor service from O2 and we'd both love to hear what plans O2 have to resolve this issue. We'd also appreciate some sort of service credit to her bill/account as it's unacceptable to have her paying full price for an intermitent service.

If she phones CS are they likely to be helpful?

Would recommend that your Auntie does indeed call cs on 202.

As she has checked the status checker then it appears there isn't a network fault. Has she tried removing the sim and cleaning it?

Failing that is she in an area where o2 and Vodafone are pooling masts? She may want to ask o2 cs if a base station has been decommissioned.

Also is there anyone else she knows that has an o2 phone? Are they having the same problem, especially at her house?

Hi,

Its alarming that this has been the same for "months"

I dont see anything major you can do apart from contacting 02 when the fix has happened and ask for a goodwill gesture for loss of service.

Are you able to use Tugo if your on a contract ?

You won't get much done reporting this on Christmas eve. Why have you waited for months to post this? You will need to call Customer Services after the Christmas break.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
