I have noticed a o2 symbol at the top of my phone says checking status or something but ever since this has been happening my data keeps running out I've never had this problem until now

That feature doesn't use data but you can turn it off in your MyO2 app or my network app.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
