I have 4g of data monthly. On the rare occasion i use all that i add a bolt on which has never been used up before my next data allowance comes in. I ran out on 30th April and bough 1g bolt on. By 4th May i had to top up again which has now run out today (7th). I have not used my phone anymore than usual and have not been downloading things so why is my data running out so quick? Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi 

 

The phone maybe using data in the background, you can view how much data is being used be different apps and can disable background data usage:

 

Andriod:

Settings > mobile network > data usage

 

iPhone:

Settings > Mobile Data > scroll down to view

 

The instructions may vary slightly depending on the model of the deivce, for a longterm solution as you maybe able to increase your tariff and gain more data per month for less then what you are paying for the top- up bolton but the tariff will not change until your next billing date and this can be done via the MyO2 app
