I've just signed up for new service provider and ported my old number to the new sim. The number got transfered fine and I can make calls but there is no data activated. I can turn on the wifi but no data connection. It's been six days without any data.

My phone is HTC One A9.

I've tried following so far....

Turning phone on and off (lol, multiple times).

Settings > Bachup & Reset > Network setting reset.

Remowing the sim and giving it a clean and replacing it.

@MI5

Looks like a risk and don't think i'd attempt it as I poined out I'm not a techy guy.

Other sims work fine so i'll live it at that than risk to brick the phone.

I have ordered another 02 sim and will give it a go.

Many thanks for giving a go to help solve this riddle.

Regards.

I hope the sim fixes it for you but I think it's more firmware related.
Good luck all the same slight_smile

Yes good luck. The phone is reading another network sim so a new sim is the easiest thing to try. If that doesn't fix it I would be tempted to get the phone off to the manufacturer....or upgrade Thinking

As I thought sadly.
I’d suggest you contact HTC directly for assistance on upgrading the firmware.

Yes it’s over 12 months old. Have you had the phone from new?
