Data charge

l've been charged for using data on my phone having never used and would not know how to use data. l've been told that it is for web day or something. It's a basic mobile l use for calls and texts only. lt's a Alcatel onetouch. any ideas?

You need to turn off mobile data on the handset to prevent the charge.

You will have apps on the phone updating in the background, it could be weather or anything to be honest. 

You need to switch off mobile data to stop the Web Daily charge of £1 per day.
