Data and Bolt ons

I have recently purchased 2gb bolt ons of data, having used up my 3gb allowance of data before the end of the monthly period. These bolt ons of data have used up incredibly quick. My average usage is 2.5 gb per month. Is there any explanation for this ? I have spent £21 for extra data this month and very close to running out again within a couple of days. Very puzzling!   Any suggestions would be helpful.

Check the data usage app on your phone.

It will tell you what it is being used on.
