Currently using a Blackberry 8900 (so quite old), recently I'm incurring charges for data usage when I'm not actually using phone for anything apart from occasional voicecall and a few texts.
Data usage not great but O2 unable to tell me why it's happening.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks

Hi @Anonymous
This is because the 8900 does a constant ping to either a BES (Corporate Blackberry Server) or to a BIS (Old Blackberry Consumer Service) and Blackberry's Network Operations Centre, to allow you to get BBM and other services.
Im assuming its data in Kilobytes or a couple of Megabytes?
As @MI5 has said turning off data will prevent this
