Hi all,

I am going to Greece (Crete) on 19th June 2022 and wanted to clarify whether I would be able to use my tariff as normal with no extra charges whilst abroad? Not sure if this would have changed following Brexit? Do I need to let O2 know when I'm travelling abroad or can I leave and restart phone once I arrive and go on as normal?

Thanks in advance for your support and answers.

Natasha

@Natasha21

You can use your UK allowances up to 25gb of data per billing period.

Guide: Roaming MegaGuide

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thank you MI5, do I need to do anything before travelling? Or do I need to let o2 know that I will be going abroad?

You shouldn't need to but if you have any problems, there are a few things to try:

1 - Reboot phone.
2 - Manually search for a different network
3 - If using an iPhone, change data apn to "mobile.o2.co.uk"
4 - Check with O2 for any roaming bars.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.
