I've got an upgrade arriving tomorrow to my home address and I've just clicked through to the DPD website and they are saying the driver will need to see photo ID - I don't drive (medical reasons) and I don't have a valid passport so no photo ID - I've had deliveries from O2 before and there is no mention of ID for home deliveries on the website - so is this a thing O2 require now?

I've had phones delivered by DPD before and never been asked for ID. I even had one for my son delivered to my house, as he was at work. No issue at all.
I wouldn't worry about it.
Have something with your name and address on just in case. Not everyone has a passport or driving licence. My passport expired in May and I haven't renewed it.

Thanks - as I said I've had phones before. I've got the DPD app on my phone, and it says driver can't leave it in safe place - which is fair enough as it's quite an expensive phone. No mention on the O2 website in the delivery section of ID for home delivery so hopefully it will be OK.

Looking on the DPD app the deliver to a neighbour option is available so that wouldn't be available if ID was required I assume
