Current customer thinking of getting ipad but it seems expensive - any room for negotiation?

I'm a current customer with an iPhone and I'm thinking of getting an iPad on contract. I've always found O2 okay so I'd like to stick with them.

The thing is, O2 seems expensive in comparison to other providers in terms of the cost of the data package.

Is it worth phoning and trying to negotiate?

Any advice would be appreciated.

It's always worth trying to negotiate though there is no guarantee you will get a discount. Ring customer services and ask for retentions..http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus

If they think you are leaving they may offer you something...

You can usually negotiate 3 or 4 quid a month off the airtime but don't expect anything off the device plan as they are fixed.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
