Could someone please clarify if whilst using my phone on a cruise ship travelling the Norwegian coast that I can use it as if in the UK? I read the O2 advice section on this and it stated if on a cruise and connected to the ships Wi-Fi that I would be charged £3 a minute for making calls. Is this for cruises outside of Europe or all cruise ships? Would be grateful if someone could clarify, many thanks, Stuart

All cruise ships networks anywhere Guide: Cruise Liners / Aircraft Charges
You can usually buy a wifi package on the ship to use voip apps to call and for data etc which is much cheaper.

Thank you for the advice. I take it when I step off the ship onto Norwegian land then my usual O2 charges will kick in.

As long as your phone is showing as connected to an EU network, yes.
