I hope someone can help I have tried to contact credit file referrals on 2 occasions and not had any luck I desperately need this sorted or it is going to affect my mortgage. 

spoke with an advisor about 2/3 weeks ago in o2 and was calling to change my bank account details and the payment date for direct debits. I asked the advisor to put the direct debit date as the 21st of the month and she assured me this was done and no payment would be due until then. I made a payment on that day to clear the balance with the advisor over the phone. Today I have logged on to o2 to check my bill only to see payment overdue I was not made aware a payment was due until 21st. I phoned o2 and they said the advisor only changed one of the direct debit dates and not the other. I advised this was not my issue and wanted something to be done about this as it would now affect my credit score they advised there is nothing that can be done and offered me £10 compensation. I want this looked into further to make sure no marker goes against my credit file due to o2 error.

How close to the 21st did you change the direct debit and billing date, as you need to leave a clear 10 working days before your payment is due, and even for making a payment by card when you have a direct debit you have to leave a clear 5 days before the direct debit is due to avoid double billing. 

 

Also your credit score is a made up number, only created to sell you products.
