Covid Discount call and text

I received a call from "O2", (or was it?) saying that they wanted to give me a discount because of Covid and received two texts while talking to them. First one was a warning about calls asking for codes, then another text with a 6 digit number to call. Phone died before I could finish conversation. How do I know this is genuine and is the 6 digit number safe to call.

Many thanks

It's not safe at all.

It's a scam.

You need to change your O2 password immeditely as the scammers have access to your account.

Block the number and do not follow any links.

I just received the same call. The 1st time I hung up and he called back using the same number. At 2nd time he called back with a different number. For ref: 1st No.-02082240077; 2nd No.: 01278227004 (Bridgewater). If it is a real call from O2, I apologize to the staff who called. But it sounded more like a scam call to me.

@Ying O2 is not offering any Covid discount. It's a scam.

Block the number and report it free to 7726.
Don’t give anyone any information over the phone on a cold call.
