Charge a fortune for data when vodefone offer unlimited for £5 a month. Must have cost me £50+ this month.
Refusing to top up my account now. There is no mistake in any detail and we had used them many times before. Rang my bank and they have had no request for any money. Sent me to payment online and again refused. Trying to get help is a run around of web pages. Some present this turned out to be.

Hi @John10

One way round this is to change from PAYG to a sim only tariff (which is what I did when my PAYG kept getting higher.)

https://www.o2.co.uk/upgrade/move-to-pay-monthly

You can get 100GB of data for £20 a month

@John10

  • The maximum amount you can top up your mobile with your credit/debit card is £100 every 30 days
  • There's also a £30 limit per 24 hours. If you've already topped up to this level with a credit/debit card, you'll need to use one of our other methods, like E-Top Up or vouchers
  • If you add credit using vouchers, or in your local shop using E-Top Up, you can top up a maximum of £50 at once
  • You can add credit by voucher and E-Top Up as often as you like, and there's no limit to the amount you can top up in a given period of time

Guide How to Top Up (PAYG)

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks for info. I may end up doing this but will have to find a shop that does them. None local.
This however will only be a temporary solution as l intend to follow cleoriffs advice and change to SIM only deal.

It is the solution but l have ran into my next problem. They will only send my new SIM to my billing address. That is in London where they will find my landlord who only has 50% lung function self-isolating. I had to leave and am sheltering in my dead parents bungalow which is due to be sold. How do you get any of this across to O2 who won't talk to you. I am going to open this problem to everyone.
