My Pay Monthly contract renewal date is 28th December 2016. I don't want to stay with O2, but do want to keep my number. When should I tell them I want a PAC code and don't want to renew.

When is the earliest I can do this?

Thanks

Thanks, but I don't know when to ring and ask for my PAC. I want to do it after my last monthly bill has been paid so that there will be nothing left to pay. My next bill is due on 19th November but the  contract renewal is 28th December. Will 19th November be my final bill or will there be one in December ?

30 days before contract ends and there will be a final bill in December any overpayment will be returned as long as you leave the direct debit in place

So I should ask them on 28th November. And do you mean I should keep the debit card in place until I use the PAC.

If you pay by debit card o2 may not be able automaticly repay you any overpayment (you are aware a direct debit is required in the t&C)

You need to calculate the 30 days before the 28th december and give notice that day asking for a pac code and give it to the new providor a few days before the 28th december it is all in the post I linked to .

Use your PAC after the 28th Nov and you'll only pay for the time from the 28th up to moving away, although they will bill you but as adam says you can claim it back using this form
